Merge Accounts

When working with businesses with multiple contacts often people bounce around within roles as well as move on from the company. It can be difficult to figure out who ordered what and even more challenging when someone leaves a company and is replaced by someone who is already in the system. It would be great to be able to merge accounts especially when trying to research order history.

Dan Hamilton this really is just a fundamental issue with the organization of data in the system. Contacts in companies move around, but the company itself rarely does (Mergers & acquisitions etc.). It really should have been built around companies with contacts subordinate to them. All quotes/orders and other activities would then be viewable at the company level, as well as the individual. So if someone leaves, you just inactivate that individual from receiving additional marketing communications etc. and all their order history/activity would still be viewable at the company level. This would also be true of art files. But because art lives with individual contacts currently, there's no point in uploading artwork to the system except job-specific files. Lot's of opportunity for improvement! 👍

Jed Spencer: 100% to this! I want to be able to click into a company and view every contact I have under them, their sales total, # of opportunities, $ in opportunities, etc...

FANTASTIC suggestion! I've mentioned this to our Facilis rep several times. The lack of this feature contributes to our red dot chaos! Would love to see this expedited!

This would also be helpful, even if the person replacing a current contact isn't a contact in the system already. It seems silly to have to overwrite a contact who is leaving the company with someone new. You should just be able to inactivate that contact (they may go to another company and start ordering from you) and pass order history/documents on to a new contact.

Please fix so that we can merge accounts. It is terrible to have to look under multiple accounts to find reorders.
