However 1) all emails go to the contact communication. they are usually in reference to a specific opportunity or job, so it would be good to have the option to select a job or opportunity. and 2) if the email isn't to the contact on file, there is no option to attach it to an existing contact. ie. i sent an email to an Impact colleague that i wanted to file in her client's file. However, because that client was not the address on the email it will not allow me to select an existing contact.

Business impact:

It would be very impactful.

The vast majority of emails to/from clients refer to specific opportunities and jobs.

It clutters the client communication log to have all those emails saved there – instead of under the appropriate opportunity / job.

Also, if we can direct emails to contacts that are NOT named in the email that is helpful too.

I am used to both of these pieces of functionality from prior software I have worked on in another industry
