Agree - this would also allow your CRM reporting to be more accurate. To me adding a new buying contact under a department is not NBD, however now it shows up as NBD.

Would love to see this - it would be a time saver. It could create a new contact with the same company details (Company Name, address etc,) and then leave personal fields like cell # and and email blank. Maybe have checkboxes so that you can carry forward additional addresses, alerts, contact attachments, etc. just like when you move a quote to a sales order.

I'd love to see this one go through. Simple functionality change on the system but a huge time saver for adding an additional contact. Even better would be to build the database on companies with contacts as the subordinates. That way, all orders/activity could live within the company/department account, rather than with individuals in the system since contacts come and go but companies/departments are more permanent.
